government bans on blogs

federal lawmakers are contemplating about regulations on political bloggers. simply put, they are considering laws that make a blogger who is being paid by a specific candidate or party to disclose that information. i'm sure there will be more nuances, but in principle i'd be okay with that. i wonder though if this opens up the pandora's box?
