pre-advent chronicles

Sufjanchristmas it's a bit before advent, but i have already begun listening to Christmas music. not sure why this is, usually i abhore listening to seasonal music loooong before the season. maybe there is something special to this season that i am to wait around for? hmm.. what could that be?

one of the listens that i'm digging though is sufjan stevens Christmas music. i think it got directed around last year as a freebie download (google search), seems it's for purchase this year. if you want to buy it great, if not download test a listen, sufjan is a bit different, but i think you'll like the feel of the advent season a bit more with this less rock and out of reach voice compilation.

We've already decorated and started lighting advent candles a week early. Does that make us Christmasier-than-thou?

bah-humbug on you, early Christmas-starter, sam!

actually that means you end advent earlier than us.. plus epiphany, lent, and easter.. way to throw the Christian calendar into such a spin!

i love sufjan . . .

i downloaded the album that has "come thou fount of every blessing" on it last year and loved it!

I've been listening to Sufjan's Christmas songs since October. Beautiful stuff.
