warmth in winter '07
this weekend i'm banging it around with 2000 plus youth from the tennessee conference in downtown nashville @ "warmth in winter." it is the largest event our conference puts on. i've helped out with it for seven years now making videos for the various sessions and whatever else. this year i'm doing the video thing again, though i have a great crew of youth doing the videos, so i might not have to do anything with that. i know i'll teach a workshop. other than that it's catchin up and and hanging out with old youth friends and new ones. we have around 76 youth and youth ministers from hendersonville here this weekend. a grand crew. we take up almost a whole floor of rooms. it's a good thing too, we were rather loud last night till bedtime.
only thing worthy of talking about is that said bishop recognized me for the first time. apparently some pastor in new york had forwarded him some links to some youtube videos. now that was another fun conversation to have. pictures and more to come.

Was your fly closed this time? Better check.

I miss Warmth in Winter! The WNCC has our big winter weekend, Summit, next weekend at Appalachian State University in Boone. 1,600 plus at last count.

Gavin, while (some) inquiring minds want to know about your fly (or should that be enquiring?), I'm interested in hearing about Warmth in Winter. Oh, if ya'll really want to have a great time, you shoud give Resurrection a shot...it's the youth gathering hosted by Holston conference in Gatlinburg. I haven't heard final figures yet, but over 12000 were in the 'burg over 2 weekends.
