future celebrity gavin look-a-like
last night at our wednesday night supper at church i sat down at an open table to see who would sit with me (sneaky tactic to meet more folks). a young mom approached and started situating her children then went to get drinks. upon returning this was our conversation..
ym: so am i like the 50th person to tell you, you look like (at this moment i think "jack black") the american idol kid from alabama?
me: (somewhat startled) no, you are the first.
ym: he's got bigger hair than you, but he reminds me of you
me: most folks say that i remind them of jack black
ym: funny, he said the same thing
me: (thinking this could be legitimate) that's interesting, i'll have to check that out
ym: do you not watch american idol?
me: no, i stopped watching years ago
more people sit at table and we start talking about elementary school teachers.. fast forward to home..
me: erin, some lady told me tonight that i look like a kid on american idol
erin: hahahahahahaha!! oh no honey, if you put on 50 pounds and and grew your hair out
me: i don't need to put on 50 pounds
backstory, erin was at her mom's last night doing some baby shower prep stuff for a friend
erin: last night we had it on at mom's when he said people say he reminds them of jack black we just looked at each other and laughed..
me: i gotta check this out
erin: just don't blog about it tonight
me: ok
so, is this the next gavin celebrity look-a-like?

Funny as your m0m saw this guy and said the hair was like Gavins used to be.I didnt say though that he looked like you,just that i remembered the hair being very similar.Thank goodness it is now shorter.

When I first caught a glimpse of the guy on the show, I saw a fleeting similarity. If you grew your hair out and gained more like 100 lbs, you might look similiar.
Kind of funny - we all said Erin looked like Katherine McPhee and now people are saying you look like this dude. You guys are quite the Idol couple!
