church meets minor league baseball marketing
i have always loved the creative playful nature of minor league baseball promotions. it's the first thing i thought of when dave thought up the back of church sunday in replacement of "back to church sunday."
for a funny thought, spin this one with this throw from deuteronomy

We were at a game earlier this summer and we kept saying the same thing. We could have a 7th inning stretch and having the pastor and liturgists introduced like a starting line-up complete with theme music.
You could have a best seat in the house contest - with Lazy Boy recliners. The ushers could shout out as they distribute programs "You gotta have a program!"
If you had the right equipment, you could even have a "Fan Cam".
There are also lots of "sponsorship" opportunities. Posting ads on the side of the display screens like the outfield wall and announcing sponsors for different parts of the service.
It's probably heresy to have the Jiffy Lube Quick Change Communion Ceremony, or a Dizzy Bat race up the center aisle, but it's still fun to think about.
