prayers for the chapman's : tragic loss

i am saddened to hear of the loss of maria to the chapman family. i know i am like many who have been impacted by steven's music but their family story over the years. my heart breaks for their loss.

Keep watch, dear Lord, with those who work, or watch, or weep this night, and give your angels charge over those who sleep. Tend the sick, Lord Christ; give rest to the weary, bless the dying, soothe the suffering, pity the afflicted, sheild the joyous; and all for your love's sake. -amen

Absolutely horrible.. I am still in shock. We are praying for you and your family Steven. Some siblings saw it and the son who was driving is likely just broken with all kinds of feelings. Gav, this reminds me of the boy a few grades behind me at CHS who backed up his car with the door open and it pinned his girlfriend to a tree (she died). He apparently struggled for a long time and likley is still struggling years later. I pray all steps are taken to look after each family member. Children especially should simply never have to face this kind of tragedy. Maria, despite not knowing you, please know you are missed by many.

i remember that incident bro. tragedy happens all around us every day, we just do not know the people.

I read about this tragedy this morning. How terrible. Gavin, you are right in that these types of tragedies (and worse) happen every day, but we are sheltered. It is important to have some type of understanding about this before it happens to you personally. You can't answer the "Why Did Go Let It Happen to Me?" question to someone while they are in the midst of unspeakable grief.
I am very sad about the news I heard this morning and will continue to lift that family up in my prayers.
